K-Sport rear 6pots 330mm fitting problem

I brought recently rear K-sport 6 pots 330mm,but now i've found our hubs are too small(WTF?).
I think this problem is maybe related to this,i have fitted at rear now just single pots(slider pots),i'm thinking maybe due this i cannot fit at rear K-Sport 6pots,maybe if i can buy hub from later WRX which have fitted at rear 2pots or if i can buy standard 2 pot conversion kit, which maybe will allow fit at rear K-Sport 6pot 330mm.
Any suggestion will be helpful...

Thanks,Jura

Too small?

Do you mean they hit the stone gaurd? you can remove that:ok:

If the discs (assuming you got new) fit ok but the caliper doesn't, then you can buy an adaptor from various brake specialists to make them fit proparly.

If thats not the problem, could be the discs are not correct for the integral handbrake. 170 or 190mm IIRC. Maybe worth checking you have the correct parts.

How to say stone guards are removed all ready...

Discs are fitted properly, but K-sports calipers is not possible to fit,due our hubs are too small(yep i know, but we have at rear single pots-sliders pots, and if you want fit at rear double/2 pots you need brackets),yes i'm thinking buy rear 2 pots brackets and try this way, thanks for that:doubleup:

Discs are OK,these K-Sport has been removed from WRX 2002,which must have same PCD(5x100),parts all correct, just calipers doesn't fit properly...

Thanks again for suggestion:doubleup:

Cool:ok:

Wasn't sure from the post as to the reason for not fitting, hence a few suggestions.

Adaptors or hub change will solve your problem then:ok:

Are the K sports for the STi (R180 rear hubs) or WRX (R160's)?

Yes i know,i have JDM WRX which is as standard equipped at rear with slider pots(single pots) and due this you cannot fit any bigger brakes on this hub...
If you want fit just 2pot calipers you must buy brackets(Godspeed etc.)...

Yes i phoned today and told me,if we need made special brackets he will made without problem, but told me at first go for bigger hubs(from UK WRX 2002 which have fitted as standard 2 pots at rear) or go for just 2 pot conversion...

There doesnt seem to be much about brakes he doesnt know

Yeah a lot of wagons came with different stuff like brakes than the saloons

if the kit was originally for a new-age WRX (2pots fitted as std and 170mm h/brake assembly) then it is very easy to fit this to your wagon

you simply need a 1pot to 2pot adaptor brkt kit which we (and a few other companies) supply...........i am presuming you have a clasic here as couldn't see any refernce to it anywhere??

if your happy the discs are to fit the 170mm h/brake then it will cost you less than £50 to sort

Alyn:Thanks for suggestion and offer to supply the bracket kit,we at the end go for bigger(later 2002) hubs, which i've found at one breaker.Again thanks :ok:

admin:Thanks for help:doubleup:

JDM WRX is the reason then.................only the Euro spec cars got the 4pot/2pot set-up as std so you effectively had a "classic" style sliding caliper set-up
