SES 2013 Ring Trip (yes next year)

Right then Guys and Girls, I have been in touch with Jackie this morning, just as a follow up and to ask the question about next year.

Below are the 2 e-mails involved.

Hi Jackie

I hope you are well and have recovered sufficiently from our visit this weekend.

Firstly and personally, I can't thank you enough for the way things have gone this year. Starting with those panic phone calls around the Christmas break, when we discovered that the dates had been changed for a lot of events! Then in the final run up to our arrival with the 2 late withdrawals, there was never any issue or problem, you just dealt with it and we amended things without any problems. Thank you.

The website has been buzzing with praise for the Hotel since our safe return to Blighty, I have now asked if the members can go to Trip Advisor and echo this praise.

I hope that the couple of issues we had this year don't affect the relationship between Hotel Wilhelmshoehe & South East Scoobies going forward, as I know the SES members wouldn't want to go anywhere else at all, we all love it there with you & Uli.

Hoping that the previous sentence is all ok, we didn't get to have a final chat before we left to go home, so we didn't do the usual "Provisional Booking" with you. I think the extra day this year was extremely popular with people, so we would like to go for this same Whitsun Weekend in 2013 if this is possible. This will ( as was the case this year) be dependent on the dates for the Touristfahrten being available for that weekend, but looking at this weekend just gone, it should all be open, they made a fortune I'm sure.

Based on what I can find out, the Whitsunday weekend is as far as we are concerned from Friday 17th May 2013 - Tuesday 21st May 2013, with the actual day being as follows: Whitsunday 2013: Sunday, 19.5.2013

All being correct, can we pencil the above in for SES?

Thanks for everything Jackie, we have an extremely happy bunch of people back here on the back of the fantastic time we have all had.

Kind Regards

Steve Green
South East Scoobies (And Thunderbirds)

Hello Steve,
It was a pleasure! And you are very welcome to come back!
We also enjoyed having you all here, it is a good laugh. I would rather have your group a thousand times over, than others that are not so easy going.
Of course I organized the weather perfectly for you this time! (Just hope that it works out again next year!)

I have booked you in for 2013, the whole hotel, is that alright?

We will be in touch with each other until then.

Glad to hear that everybody got back safely. I was following a little on the internet.
Hope that you did not get too much of a telling off from Laura! I am sure that she is just happy to have you back safe and sound.

Send my love to all the boys and girls and tell them I am looking forward to seeing them all next year.
Love and best wishes
Jacqueline

Oh god yes! :yeah:

It's what we had this year until the date change nightmare at Christmas.

Crowman 31-05-2012 11:08 AM

Happy days indeed.

Granby 31-05-2012 11:19 AM

Probably the only thing i'd do different this year is go out on Thu or maybe even Wed so avoiding the f***ing BH traffic

worzel 31-05-2012 11:29 AM

I like Clives idea of getting the ferry overnight on Thursday night. We could be there for midday comfortably with a nice stop somewhere for brekkie if we got say the 2.00am or 4.00am ferry.

Passengers could sleep on the journey no problem too.

Bet the ferry is quiet as well.

That would be the better choice for sure, Steve.

Great to hear that Jackie hasn't got the hump with us (when i say us, i mean James  )

Not sure about Claire and I for next year..... we want to find a bigger house next year so money will be very tight - want to move to a 3 bedroom place before thinking about the big scary 'baby' word!

Will be gutted if we miss the trip though :(

Nige 31-05-2012 02:26 PM

Why would Jackie have the hump with James pray tell? If you dont go next year & miss it like i did then book yourself in to a hotel. Take some pills & just sleep it away. Otherwise you will end up doing what i did & keep telling your mrs the lads will be doing this now,the lads will be doing that..................on & on it didnt stop! Gutted in a big way i was. Then i drove 350miles trying to beat everyone in the other halfs RAV diesel Ha! Ha! Good luck with the kiddy.

worzel 31-05-2012 02:29 PM

Mate, Jackies not got the hump with James at all. All sorted, done and forgotten :ok:

I can imagine you saying just that to Ali too, I would be doing the very same

Hope you can both make it again next year Steve, but would understand if you couldn't. There are more important things.

Can we add Nappy to the ring list for James:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::whistle:

Skullfudge 31-05-2012 02:56 PM

Hev and I will be up for whatever for the 2013 trip and I am sure Daz & Lucia will be as well.

I only suggested a night ferry as the trip down will be awesome at night. It may throw the sleeping pattern out a tadge but we will soon adapt I'm sure :)

How many rooms does Jackie have Steve ?

Anger 31-05-2012 03:08 PM

I wont be making it next year, Beck's birthday is on the 17th of May and she's the big 30!

Ill very much doubt she'll want me to take her away to germany for her birthday or be away for her birthday. :cuckoo:

will have to see how it pans out as its obviously very very early days to put a downer on it for me.
