Petrol

Today I took the Scoob to work on route I stopped to get some V Power. They had run out. By the end of today they only had Diesel left. Anyone else having probs at the moment? :EVO:

ajf 28-03-2012 08:22 PM

No but they can't strike for a mimimum of 7 day

Lazadude 28-03-2012 08:40 PM

YEah both local shells were out of everything...

People hear strike and panic. Doesnt help that the strike isnt for another 2 freaking weeks. I hate joe public and I wish I could bash some intelligence into them...

Anger 28-03-2012 08:49 PM

After going past petrol station after petrol station with huge ques or no fuel, I had no choice but to fill the legacy in case.... £97 fooking pound

Greig 28-03-2012 09:01 PM

Just got in from filling the vans up for work, petrol stations Definatly making some money tonight!!
Managed to fill 2 up to the brim but I'm guessing they will run out soon looking at the ques

Hongkongfooi 28-03-2012 09:09 PM

Anger 28-03-2012 09:13 PM

No choice but to buy when you work from a van mate, no fuel equals no work

Ginola 28-03-2012 09:38 PM

que at tescos in durrington tonight was :|

I use my sc00bs for work comute (about 340miles a week!) so dont have much choice, especially anoyed tonight as drove all the way to durrington to fill up with 99 as both the shell at fontwell and littlehampton where out of fuel (the one at fontwell is out regularly anyway :\ ) got home more than an hour later than normal :S

BLOODY SCARE MONGERS !

Steve_PPP 28-03-2012 09:48 PM

Filled up the Pug 406 at the weekend before i'd even heard of the strikes, over £90 to fill but it'll last me about 750 miles :)

Should keep me in my daily commute for about a month!

Nick 28-03-2012 09:58 PM

isn't the strike scheduled for saturday this week, Tescos was busy in hastings earlyier but a tanker turned up as i left

BIG"E" 28-03-2012 10:09 PM

Why are people like fooking sheep?

On the radio earlier a reporter asked a person in a queue,

"why are you queuing"

they replied because everyone else is WTF??

mind you it doesn't help with all the hype from the government.

All of this is just going to push the price up even more and make the government more fooking money off the back of the motorist.:fight:

Gavsti555 29-03-2012 12:16 AM

BLOODY SCARE MONGERS !

Bugger - driving to Birmingham on Friday and cars on the red hope they've re-stocked by this afternoon!

Nige 29-03-2012 06:27 AM

We were told last time they had a strike to just go to the front of the que! I tried that one day in uniform, I won't do it again that's for sure.:fight:

C. J. 29-03-2012 12:59 PM

well I,ve managed to get a tank & 2 jerry cans out of my local shell garage even though it said they didn't have any :)
Always find its good to talk to the garage staff ;)

rossmarts 29-03-2012 02:12 PM

I was panic buying yesterday, not because of the strike but because my fuel light was on. Went to Shell in T Wells and pulled straight up to the pump no issues at all. They had a delivery yesterday morning as well but with all the hysteria it may well be gone now.
I don't get it though, nothing has actually happened yet so why the madness. Strike action has been agreed but I beleive there would be a weeks notice befre the strike starts anyway.

C. J. 29-03-2012 03:15 PM

No panic , jerry cans for silverstone on Saturday :)

Anger 29-03-2012 03:22 PM

All my vans are full, the Impreza and legacy are as well.... So I should be ok :D

andy-m 29-03-2012 03:48 PM

i'm just waiting till tomorrow. i've got a half day off work so by the afternoon, they woulda had another delivery n I can just fill up while everyone else is still at work lol

Anger 29-03-2012 05:38 PM

They ran out of vpower first.... So it must be low as they had normal unleaded

Nige 29-03-2012 05:41 PM

The Shell here also ran out of v power 1st. Strange as its the most expensive.:EVO:

ralliart didz 29-03-2012 05:43 PM

Steve_PPP 29-03-2012 09:36 PM

Cars full of Diesel but I need to mow the lawn tomorow and I only have 5 litres of 2 stroke for the strimmer, think the mower will smoke a bit on that.

Ginola 30-03-2012 04:24 PM

Spoke to shell at Fontwell today on the phone (sod driving down there), the lady there informed me that they will not be getting any v-power in until all filling stations are FULL of regular unleaded (all the trucks are in use with this)....
Forced to use my car boot supply of octane additive at the weekend perhaps !!

Went up to Sainsbury’s Chichester at lunch time, people are queuing round 2x roundabouts for fuel :\ even now? why!!! :S

Yep, everyone will have panic bought all the fuel, then the petrol stations will be restocked next week and nobody will need it. Should be easy to fill up then i reckon :)

majorscooby 30-03-2012 05:29 PM

Shell, Bp and Asda's in gravesend are all shut :sadno: , cant take the scoob to work tomorrow now for some nagging wife free car loving!

scooby999 30-03-2012 05:46 PM

Well thats my car off the road.
Running on vapours, will have to try monday to find some.
It appears Eastbourne has run out

Anger 30-03-2012 06:21 PM

I had a person block the road in front of me today when I was right upon them to get in a petrol station.... They now have a Nissan primastar shape dent in there front and rear doors.... Fooking Numpty

andy-m 30-03-2012 06:31 PM

it's not to bad in SE london. I went to my local shell about 3pm cuz I was off work early n there wasnt much of a que.
even better, the people that were pulling in to the petrol station were seeing that all they had available was v-power, and then leaving without filling up !
I got 38 ltrs which should last me till thursday at least

Crowman 30-03-2012 06:44 PM

Can't be arsed to read all the thread so might be said already but the shell in tunbridge wells is out of all fuels and so is the one in Tonbridge and the one on the shipbourne road outside Tonbridge , so I guess I will be using the BMW tonight .
Fookin twats panic buying.

I have just tried to book flight from London to Liverpool for week after next , normally no problem, now only flights are stop offs in isle of man both ways, journey time 7.5 hours each way and at a cost of £389 , guess everyone's flying as no fookin fuel :-(
