Car meets near me !!

Got invited to a local car meet this evening with the promise of some good motors so I went in my rb320 and my brother in his wr1 and the turn out was shocking car wise !! Now I'm not being a snob but spending the evening with kids in fiestas and corsas was not what I expected so does anyone know of any decent meets in the horsham Crawley area???

Lucky 27-10-2015 09:53 PM

Check out our meets section and also keep an eye on the other events section too. The next meet is Saturday. They are generally spread across Sussex and Kent evenly and are well attended with no corsa's or fiesta's lol.

Del Boy 27-10-2015 10:04 PM

I can't get Saturday's off which is a real pain i did see there is the occasional Sunday meet tho but not many

We do have Sunday meets also, trouble with sunday meets is that sometimes its difficult to find somewhere to park, any pub thats worth going to gets full up quickly.

We've had several breakfast meets on a Sunday which seem to be popular..

Del Boy 27-10-2015 10:22 PM

Oh right I will keep a look out for them as would like to meet up with u guys at some point as not been to a sec meet yet

555_Si 27-10-2015 10:25 PM

When the evenings are lighter a few of us started popping down bury hill few of us from Horsham went.

Always happy for people to pop round to mine, got a cafe round the corner as well. I've got enough cars to have a meet of my own mind.

Del Boy 27-10-2015 10:35 PM

Thought I was the only owner locally but seen more in the last 2 days and like the way every owner gives u a wave or a flash but yer would be interested in any type of meets really

There's Goodwood breakfast club this Sunday, would of gone but working Sunday unless I manage to do it all Saturday!

Red Baron 28-10-2015 08:14 AM

I could always do an evening meet round Crawley/Horsham as I work that way, try and avoid coming back over at weekends if I can help it, that journey is bad enough 5 days a week. Perhaps we need a "Build Si's 555" meet although not really the time of year for it.

lol, and to Scotty's comment.

I actually have 3 mates, used to be 4 unfortunately, that are all called Simon, all into cars.

Have actually been to a car show all together with our cars and took us about an hour to convince them we weren't taking the pee. 3 of us had BMW e30 M3's at the time.

Goodwood is breakfast club I think and is themed, can't remember but I think you have to register and your car to be allowed in the main area has to fit the theme. eg softop sunday etc etc.

This month's Goodwood breakfast club is 'Bahn Stormers.

The Surrey Monthly Meet is at the Fairmile Arms, Cobham at 12.30pm on the second Sunday of every month. Postcode for your satnav: KT11 1BW

A few of us sit down for a bite to eat, others stick to the fizzy drinks.

Please check out the current meet thread in the Goings On section for more details, and other club related events.

I myself have never got there that early, so don't be surprised if you only see one or two cars before 13:00 or so......

If anyone was considering Goodwood tomorrow, but was on the fence, have a look here.

Might be enough to sway you!

C. J. 31-10-2015 04:37 PM

That's good as I've managed to do everything today and don't need to go back tomorrow so think I'll make the trip :)

xxxmike 31-10-2015 04:56 PM

Hi delboy I see you are in Horsham. I'm in southwater. Drive the black bug in the picture. You may have seen it about but it only comes out on dry days lol.
