Thanks for comments.still a fair way to go to getting it that clean.

Steve_PPP 11-11-2015 11:13 AM

Haven't posted in this thread yet but been watching with interest. As per other comments, its great that you're going for the OEM restoration route and it looks like you're doing a super job already.

Too many are modified these days and keeping this mint and original will only make the value go up. Top job :ok:

scotty 11-11-2015 11:55 AM

It is good to keep it original makes me wonder if i should buy spare oem parts and store them .

iPond 11-11-2015 12:52 PM

Do love a nice clean white classic. As with the above comments also, the OEM route your taking on this is very commendable. Should be great when you've finished. :10:

scooby doo 11-11-2015 01:32 PM

Thank you for kind comments.
Ordered from A.S performance box and diff oils so that's next job.
Still waiting on my center caps to arrive back form the refurb as was missed out when wheels returned.
Grabbed a pic as took her to work before goes into hibernation :polish:

hmmm many shiny original bits!

scooby doo 17-11-2015 10:50 AM

Been looking at private plates .
Currently own B15NJY for my name but didn't look great on import plates as gets split in too so may put it on the family wagon and seen these two
N888 WRC
S11 GPN (group n)

Can't toy it up. What's your option ???

Rdlangy1 17-11-2015 11:27 AM

hmmmm - def liking the N888 WRC :ok:

iPond 17-11-2015 02:18 PM

Out of the 2 I would go with N888 WRC.

Im thinkin of selling one of mine soon though - SK03 BEE, but will need to get it off the car and sort the other one out first so its not available just yet.

scooby doo 17-11-2015 03:12 PM

I'm torn I've found
S555 GPN
OR
N800 WRC
OR
P800 WRC

Rdlangy1 17-11-2015 03:15 PM

P800 WRC - only say "P" coz of "P"rodrive :ok:

scooby doo 17-11-2015 03:19 PM

Will sit on it for the mo poss print it out place on car and decide lol

riiidaa 17-11-2015 03:52 PM

why don't you just bin the two layer plates, and use the reg you've already paid for? on the rear a range rover HSE sized plate should fit the aperture perfectly though I opted to remove the jdm bracket

scooby doo 17-11-2015 03:59 PM

It's all thoughts at the mo
Il check out the plate sizes

iPond 17-11-2015 04:54 PM

Just realised you couldnt put my plate on yours anyway due to it needing to be older than the vehicle youre applying to! Numpty moment... :getmecoat:

P800 WRC would look good, but the 555 plates look good on a scoob too.

scooby doo 17-11-2015 06:38 PM

Il print some paper version mock ups and check and my plate too

I have small front and oversized rear that fits the aperture. I can measure up if required as this was a custom size.

Scott.T 18-11-2015 06:56 PM

Queensway and Ridge West do have speed limits you know.
But I'll let you off, as you were probably going to the Conquest Hospital to see bubby......

p.s you need to lose the tacky red mud flaps.

scooby doo 18-11-2015 07:36 PM

Lol you caught me! Yea needed something for little one ASAP so shoot to tescos .
those flaps are the worst lack of time to get them off.

Scott.T 18-11-2015 08:21 PM

520mm X 150mm for rear plate
Front is the 3/4 plate from www.fancyplates.com it measures 390mm X 82mm (approx)

See above configuration.
The rear seems to be the 'Jaguar' size of 520mm x 152mm and the front is 390mm x 84mm

scooby doo 21-11-2015 02:57 PM

Removed rear screen and rear door tints as not my thing

All in order lol  , just awaiting the car back ,

scooby doo 01-12-2015 10:09 AM

Few more bits ordered and being shipped out from ICP,
Getting there slowly...

As fitting new 'Pink' Springs thought best to order new top mounts and decided on Grp n version.
http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/x...psutp12f2q.png

Grp N Pitch mount
http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps4k6xko0d.png

Rear Genuine anti roll bar links to match my sti trailing arms, *note uses front links instead of the horse shoe shape,
http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/x...psairh952t.png

Right now this is the pain in being its a aftermarket item
My rear sti silencer is starting to look aged 17yrs old to be right, and bugs me, i couldn't find a classic fitment Prodrive silencer so i had to opt to using a non standard item as didn't want a newage with the hanger being wrong,
So after much looking around i went for the Haywood and Scott original back box which was as close to oem looking as possible and not OTT on noise.
http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps1t95l8lf.png

The parts are starting to stack up for winter :-D

Rdlangy1 01-12-2015 11:03 AM

wow - your credit card is taking a bashing :ok: ha ha

All the parts look good though - can't wait to see this in the flesh once done...

Ryan

scooby doo 01-12-2015 01:47 PM

Front an rear Grp'N' top mounts ?
Image is rears

re the rear droplinks UK Spec compatible, as I fancy those (although I expect their not cheap)

scooby doo 01-12-2015 07:20 PM

Hi Scott not sure how they fit as I have the pink sti trailing arm set so it's just a direct swap as mine are a unknown age not that they look old but I'm anal lol so I thought best for revamp seeing as doing some suspension changes, il bring mine around at some point and you can have a look how they fit.

they do fit Scott Picture shown on import car parts you'll want to lose the old bracket though, so replace the arms? (although, we all know you would anyway:five:)

scooby doo 01-12-2015 07:40 PM

Spot on and not mega money seeing as the genuine parts , while line drop links same money
