I'm new to SES though I have had the same car, Subaru WRX turbo since it was one year old in 1996. I get great pleasure in driving it and only once in that time has it faltered. After receiving conflicting advice the problem was finally found to be a injector fault.
Seaford, near Newhaven/Eastbourne is a long way from a Subaru dealership and I am finding it difficult to get the car serviced, they are not the easiest to service or get parts for I am finding now.
Getting a brake calliper replaced is my present dilemma, which someone in Scoobies might I hope be able to give some advice? jonre

Welcome to SEE. You have the perfect Subaru garage on your doorstep, SMD in Newhaven. Always serviced my WRX when I lived in the UK and will be servicing my new STi When it is out of warranty even though it means a trip on the ferry. Can't recommend them highly enough and others on here will agree.

Welcome

As Frenchie mentioned, SMD (Southern Motor Developments) in Newhaven are just down the road for you. Brent knows his stuff and is a decent chap too. He's looked after my scoob for years, wouldn't go anywhere else for jobs I can't manage myself.

What is wrong with the caliper you need replacing? If its stuck pistons, then several companies will refurb them good as new. :)

Hello and welcome you could strip and do a full refurb on your calipers and get replacement seals , pistons etc from either Alyn at Asperformance or Importcarparts .

Welcome. Heard lots of good things about SMD so you'll be good with them.
Quick question about the brakes, have you still got the original front calipers? If so I'm guessing these are the 2 pot fronts, if you're handy with spanners a strip and rebuild isn't too bad, I'd do a bit of investigating first to find out if it's a sticky piston or just the sliders seizing up, either way, after 22 years a complete strip and rebuild probably wouldn't go amiss. If you were going to go for new calipers I'd consider going for a set of 4 pots from a later classic provided your current wheels will clear them. There's plenty of companies offering refurbished ones or you can go with what I believe are the pattern parts which are usually badged as WRX PRO.
