Black Beauty
Starting a small project thread on this one should be ordering the first bit or two in a few weeks time hopefully .

Well went to the local halfords and bought some primer and paint so will need to read Ginola's de-tango thread very carefully to do this one as never done it before .

Well that's her off to her new home with one happy new owner .
|
Nice. Long drive south now... :drive:
|
Someone will be a happy chappy today looking out and seeing that :ok:
|
Well, the car was spot on for the drive home, the traffic and the weather was very kind too! So so nice to be behind the wheel of an Impreza again, something I have missed massively over the last 5 weeks!
I am indeed a happy chappy, can't wait to come to the next meet. Massive thanks to Scott for everything, he has been great answering all my questions, sending me loads of photos and keeping me up to date the whole time. It was great to see you again yesterday and 'pop' up to your part of the world, you were right, the tap water is better up your way! Once things get under way I will be either continuing this or starting my own thread on the little bits I do as I own the car. I also look forward to Scott's build thread coming along nicely now I have supported him financially with it 😉 |
Looking forward to some updates and mine is already started so we are both winners . Oh you need to make sure the yellow pad applicator is damp when you are using your new wax .

And that box was taunting me the whole trip down! They are already being used today! Not often a car comes with such a good prezzie. |

Great news all round

Can't wait to see this in the flesh :ok:

Spot the difference:
http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/...psxoqsoo2t.jpg http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/...psu3m2pmma.jpg I have decided to carry on with the thread that Scott started, it seems that the history of the car at least on SES stays in on place. The written off blue car is now in my possession and I have already spent today fiddling with it and working out just how much of a war wound the accident left. I have also been deciding what I want to keep for myself and will be transferring parts to the black car over the next few weeks. I plan on keeping the thread updated and will try taking photos as I go. |
Wheels and suspension?
|
Looks much better :)
|
Looking sweet btw
|
Wheels only today, suspension is in the pipeline, removed from the old car ready to go on soon!
|
Nice.
Sorry to be mercenary, but are you keeping the STi wheels? |
looks very nice:norty:
|
like the wheels
|
Looking very nice!
|
IMHO i prefer the standard wheels
|
What a difference a set of wheels can make looking good Rob .
|
Looks good mate, needs a wash ;)
Prefer the 18's over the original wheels, plus it looks like they've got better tyres on so makes sense. You could put some winters on the 17's and then you've got an unstoppable AWD machine should the snow come this year :D You going to remove the red stickers on the fog covers? They don't look right with the orange indicator lens and the pink graphic on the doors. Know the fog covers only just went on the car so assume its on the to-do list! |
Agreed - keep the wheels and put either winter tyres on or track tyres for the ring next year :ok:
|
I plan on keeping the original Sti wheels and probably sticking some winter tyres on yes. I like the option of having some slightly smaller wheels with chunkier tyres should I require them when the crap weather turns up, jusding by today though its already here!
I want to remove the orange indicator lenses from the headlights and get the units nicely sealed back up to try and keep the condensation away. I also want the original stickers for the front fog lamp covers to keep with the black and pink only theme. A new grill badge was delivered yesterday and is awaiting fitment, I cant wait to get the shocks and springs on either and have the car sitting lower, then its just a case of getting the geo set up. |

Blacked lights make such a huge difference to the look. Bang on.
|
Today's spot the difference...
Ok, so you don't need to spot it but you get the picture! http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...e0c48e3ffc.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...151b921b1e.jpg With any luck the next few changes will be on the larger scale of things but they all add up. |
