Flying Scotsman at Bluebell
Spent a few hours on Good Friday as an anorak in a field taking pictures of steam trains. I was there for a very specific locomotive however, this isn't how I normally spend my bank holidays.
The Flying Scotsman, a name internationally known in the world of steam powered transport is spending the Easter weekend on the Bluebell Railway. I took the opportunity to grab a few pictures just up the line from Sheffield Park station, finding a nice open spot with good views of the track. Certainly made a change from snapping cars! http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/...psrkyvpgit.jpg http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/...psx9idhxlb.jpg http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/...pso2voxf0f.jpg |

That first shot is a peach!
We had planned to head down there, but time conspired against me. :( It's an incredible locomotive. |
I'll be showing the pictures to my father in law Sunday, now he is truly into steam trains, his loft and garage are fully laid out,Fleischmann upstairs and American locomotive's where the car should be :-D

Lovely, my work colleague was on that today as an anniversary treat for a couple of her friends.

Cracking pictures, saw all the signs out as I drove up to Turners Hill for my new eyes. Could hear the steam trains passing as I waited to go in for my operation.
