R222 Wax for the SLaG

I tried a new wax for the first time this weekend, R222 100% Carnauba Wax.

I have to say I like it a lot, it's not as easy to remove as a lot of waxes, but compared to previous 100% Carnauba, it was a breeze. Just a little more elbow grease and patience required.

Luckily, even though the sun shone relentlessly all weekend, where I wash my car at home was in full or dappled shade virtually all day.

The pics are only taken on the phone so not the best.

looks very good mate.

I spent 7 hours last weekend with my old man doing a wash, clay and carnauba wax on his black Alfa 159. Came up a treat and surprisingly satisfying (wax smells nice too!) although my arm did ache a bit in the evening.

Lucky 03-10-2011 02:14 PM

Spot on. Will defo have to give that stuff a go. :10:

worzel 03-10-2011 02:23 PM

I prefer the grill look too, the only problem with it is the fact the carbon goes milky :sadnod:

I have a solution for the milky carbon. Rub it down & when you think it looks good ,put some laqure on it. Leave for 5 mins & when It looks ****e put a big tein sticker on it. Trust me I have experience of this.

SUBARMAN 04-10-2011 04:35 PM

Is there a max number of waxes one person is allowed to own at any one time? Is there a Guinness Book of Records limit you could smash perhaps?

Like I said mate, I can't compete on power, with my ****ty, rattly, overpriced old STi Lump. So I need to blind you with reflective power instead to gain some advantage :ok:
