Well I may be able to make this now as Mr Grohl managed to fall off stage and break his leg last night, if Foo Fighters cancel their concert then I'll be up for this.

And he came back from hospital to finish the set :ok:

I'm trying to arrange a rendezvous on the outskirts of Brighton to save driving up and back to the pottage.
At the moment this is looking like up on the Dyke! !!!!

The old Essex trips to Brighton used to go from Pease down to Hickstead/Sayers Common, then come off and head down to Albourne and then out towards Devils Dyke that way, some nicer country roads. Then into Brighton via Dyke Road/Montpelier onto the seafront.

I have arranged with the organisers to join at the Rushfields Plant Centre on the A281 just down the road from the Ginger Fox Pub : https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.90...-0.2099419,15z

I would suggest we need to be there for 9:00am, so have updated as below.
The groups will be coming down in batches of 10-12 so there will be no rush to join as soon as they approach, just slot in where possible

I'll join at the garden centre now there's another meetup point, saves me driving 15 mins north just to head back south!

anyone know how much parking is likely to be?

Not the cheapest to park down there, depends on how long you're staying.

1 hr - £3.20
2 hrs - £5.20
4 hrs - £10.40
11 hrs - £15.60

Nope, the Ace Cafe thing was a properly organised event with the road closure in place.

This is just a big bunch of Subaru's turning up and parking on a normal day...

Oh blimey! You have to get into Brighton by about 8.30am on a sunny Saturday to have a hope of parking (or queue for hours when the multistoreys start one-in/one-out). That's why I go shopping in Crawley these days!

Ah well... it's a nice walk from the Marina, I suppose! ;)

Mine needs more than a detail now, I scuffed the front corner last night putting the car away in the garage :angst:

Luckily the splitter took most of it but it just touched the wing and bumper too :(
