servicing oils
 

when my car is in the garage for a cambelt change i want to get a service done on it at the same time but which oil is best to buy the millage is on 61519 and while its in the garage is it worth change the gearbox oil and the diff oil aswell

millers oils personally... see allyn at AS PERFORMANCE for a good deal and will tell you exactly what you need for the ride..

have you got history of when it was all last done?? if not do it for peace of mind, if you have then work out if you need to or not, intervals should be in service book!:ok:

there is no proof of the belt being done so im getting it changed but im gunna get it serviced aswell

Good idea to do the cam belt if you have no history of it being done. I think you have a bug? so should really be on its 3rd belt by now as they're 5 years/50000 miles so should have been done on age.

I've always used Millers oils as well and never had a problem, although there was a recent thread floating around (no pun intended) about additive drop-out...

If you're keeping the car then do the gearbox and diff fluids too, a 5L bottle of 75w90 is just about enough to do both on a 5 spd WRX but not sure if the 6spd uses a bit more?

Yes I see what you mean , doesn't look very nice and if it did cause damage it would be hard to prove . It looks like something my dog would produce after eating something nasty off the beach
