Yeh agree, bloody whiteline stuff...paint don't stay on for 5 minutes.
thats the 2nd lof ot paint as was originally silver.....

might swap it out for a newone or a perrin and coats with tonnes of laquer beforefitting. Thats what I done to the shocks.

Only done rears at the moment, they are stiffer as can tell when the car drops out of the garage. Will post up thoughts compared to OE and the recent KYB's I had fitted when the fronts go on.

Not lowered any more, as was on Eibach springs before so the same ride height.
Looks high in last pic as had just been dropped of the trolley jack.

Looks really good mate, gonna be a shame to get it dirty, isnt there some sort of clear underseal to stop any corrosion?

Chunk 13-07-2010 03:48 PM

I cant see it being allowed to get dirty. This is by far the cleanest car i've ever seen

The rears had a fresh coat of black underseal as the original stuff was peeling off, then a coat of silver smoothrite.

The fronts were just cleaned up and painted with smoothrite, as it's quite hard and resists alot of stone chips. The more coats the easier it is to clean off.

scooby doo 11-08-2010 08:14 AM

thanks mate, didnt know if you could get silver under seal? as ive only ever seen black

stiggy 11-08-2010 08:57 AM

Liking the look of them, looking forward to the report on how they perform :ok:
