I'm going to get him to trim back the black panel under the number plate to allow more air in when i get the new hose fitted.

Steve_PPP 03-08-2010 06:04 PM

nice one mate, looks very tidy, good old Brent has done another good job :ok:

would definately get the black plastic trim removed to maximise the airflow to it.

BIG"E" 03-08-2010 06:29 PM

I think Brent has your high standards Scott. I would trust him completely.

Fantastic job tim. I will definately be using him in the future. :ok:

worzel 04-08-2010 09:35 AM

Looking the absolute doggies Tim:10:

Agree with the comment about removing the black trim though, to maximise the cooling ability.

You wouldn't want any hot spots matey.

Mortster 04-08-2010 09:54 AM

Looks the nuts, much cutting involved??

And how many of us have parts from Granby's poor old car now??

Chunk 04-08-2010 01:55 PM

Nice one mate

Looks good

Hongkongfooi 04-08-2010 02:57 PM

Obviously now the intercooler spray is useless....is there much point in me putting this down the front to spray the new intercooler?:fool:

Yes there is, I am having that done to mine at the moment.

The only thing to consider is having a second nozzle

You will need a pressure valve to prevent the water running out of the nozzle as the nozzle is lower then the water tank.

Hongkongfooi 04-08-2010 05:36 PM

Is it worth the effort scott or is it best to do away with the weight of the tank for the little gain at the front?

AndyWRX 04-08-2010 06:59 PM

looks really good mate, nice and subtle but still makes a big impact

I can't remember if the STi of your era has auto as well as manual water spray. I think it may of only been the STi RA Classics that had both.

If it only has manual I wouldn't bother, as the FMIC won't sufffer the heat soak in traffic that the TMIC does and you can't really drive hard enough to require it and press the manual button at the same time.

It will only really be of benefit on the RR whilst trying to achieve that ultimate figure. But then the operator can spray water on it if that's what floats your boat......

Very nice mate, love the stealth effect...

I'd do away with it, no real benefit on the FMIC
