Sept 2011 - SES Meet, Surrey - Sun 11th Sept
 

Yes, apologies but its very short notice on this one i'm afraid guys! This month we're due to return to Surrey for our SES meet.

However....since Surrey haven't found a new home after being evicted from the Fairmile, and since a few of us are in Surrey on Sunday morning for Mercedes Benz World (see http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ead.php?t=9681 ;)), it makes sense to link it all up. Seemed a bit daft not to really! :)

So..... the plan for anyone who's interested! This Sunday at:

Inn On The Pond, Nutfield (near Redhill) - RH1 4EU.

Meet at 12:30pm, if there's enough demand will try and book tables for 1pm. Obviously you don't need to come to Mercedes Benz World first if you don't want the early start - we'll just meet you at the pub.

Not sure if Surrey have booked tables Steve? but as its been a bit last minute sorting this one out I won't book anything as don't know who's eating or just coming along for a drink. Will just wing it for tables when we get there :)

Well, cheers to those that came along. Turned into a bit of a farce as we turned up at 1pm and the best they could offer us was a table at 4pm :doh:

But it was good to sit outside for a chat and a beer for a while. Good turnout from Surrey Scoobies - I counted 12 scoobs in the car park when I left about 2ish.

The hunt for a good pub for meets in Surrey continues......

Lovely little pub, but too small to cope with the demand of meets. Will recommend somewhere a big bigger for future meets! ;)

Don't worry about it Steve, wasn't the right kind of place for a scooby meet anyway in the end. Nice place, but a bit too 'sit-down resturant' for us lot ;)

Yeah. I thought using the Inn on the Pond would be a good balance as we could give somewhere local a bit of business. But once we got a few cars in there yesterday the place started to look very small.

Never mind, lesson(s) learnt for the next time I make a suggestion. ;)
