Polished F56 JCW

Hi all, so some of you saw the new wheels yesterday, and after a long detoured drive around the filthy country lanes, it was in need of a good wash, polish, and wax... Here’s a few pics of before, during, and after:

Not just in the corners lol.
Thanks for the comments guys - wouldn’t of been possible without Ryan’s fantastic know-how when it comes to fine cleaning vehicles... learnt a lot today fella - cheers.

Looks great.

Have you done much in the way of engine mods?

Mrs Stig is contemplating a Mini for her next car, but it'll struggle to live up to her Impreza so will probably need a little push in the right direction.

I’ll let glenn fill in the details but standard JCW is 231bhp and 320nm torque 👍🏻

GJones2310 28-01-2018 07:33 PM

Nothing at all, that’s straight from the dealers yesterday. As Ryan said, 231bhp, 0-62 is 6.1s, drives well in normal mode, sports mode increases throttle response, tightens the steering etc. Ryan can vouch how quickly it can accelerate when you drop a gear and bury your foot.

More than quick enough but always room for more

Remap, induction kit, custom exhaust and Ull be close to 265-270bhp :ok:

I jest - it’s a great car, power to weight makes it very very nippy and the pops and bangs from the exhaust just make it a dream. Am envious of the variable dampening system I must say!

Compared to the mechanical rawness of my 15yrs old scoob, to have some power combined with the modern perks of a 1yr old car make it a real eye opener!

Banstead Stig 28-01-2018 08:52 PM

Interesting, thanks.

The figures you read are never as good as hearing from people that drive the car.

Both my FSTi and Mrs Stig's PPP wagon are (mostly) standard, but the drive of each knocks more powerful and expensive cars into a cocked hat based on a number of test drives I've had.

It's a shame the new Clubman is so ugly as the older JCW version was interesting, so a newer, quicker version would be nice!
