C. J. 07-09-2013 08:40 PM

So which ones going to spar ?

Mortster 07-09-2013 08:40 PM

Just wondering how a slightly smaller one ( I know I know ) would look if you made a couple of brackets coming off the top of the FMIC rather than making holes in the bumper.

SamSTI 07-09-2013 08:53 PM

Amazing car that Tim. very nice birthday prezzie lol

To cut a long story short gonna have a little project with my boy with getting a civic type r or a cupra r and use that for two months untill he gets his 2nd year ncb and can afford to insure it and then he will use it from december(as he starts uni in a couple of weeks and will be going in by train so it will be just sitting on the drive anyway) and then i think it will be time to try out the darkside:getmecoat: and then probably sell that and get scooby no .10 lol

simba 08-09-2013 08:56 PM

Nice spec mate and as we all should know its all about the torque

drakesnow 09-09-2013 03:20 PM

Cool spec indeed! I run the v12 evos on my newage and they are pretty damn good. I get good wear and good wet performance so it is nice for a daily driver ;). Gearbox and clutch holding well to the power?

impreza27 09-09-2013 08:00 PM

very nice tim you must have to much money as you've got two scoobys now  mate

Scott.T 09-09-2013 09:58 PM

Please don't bastardise the wagon to satisfy the p1's shortfalls. The wagon doesn't deserve to be broken for spares.

The Wagon is pretty special and its what's on it that makes it that, together with being immaculate. It would be nice to build the P1 to the spec you want and keep the wagon as it is. That way its the best of both worlds and the wagon will hold its money as I am sure there are many who would pay good money for it.

Having said that, they are both your cars (Lucky!) so the choice is of course yours.

Exactly Steve thankyou. I hear what you and Scott are saying but the wagon will still be a special car either way. Ultimately the p1 is the one I will keep long term and spend the money on. The wagon I'll maintain to a good standard.

Agree with steve the choice is yours to do what you want and the wagon is a stunning example of an impreza and to leave it alone would be great and if tim has a big pile of cash to burn on new brakes and defi gauges which is all he said he will be swapping over its not really bastardizing the wagon or breaking it for parts.

Ron i can see you outside his house with a giant placard right now:doubleup:

Buy it back off tim you know you want too and that way it can stay as it is and tim will have a nice pile of cash for mods.

And must state it wasnt me that put on the linglongtingtong tyres lol

Hongkongfooi 10-09-2013 02:26 PM

Ordered some hankook v12s today so have them fitted Friday

Lucky 10-09-2013 04:26 PM

Heard good things about Hankooks. They were recommended along with Falken 452's when I changed mine on the Hawk.

Steve_PPP 10-09-2013 05:26 PM

At the end of the day they're Tim's cars now. I can understand moving the Defi's over, because if the P1 is going to be the car for Spa then you want to keep an eye on things temp-wise.

But i'm not sure the Prodrive brakes will be up to the job for a track like that with a 380bhp classic. Get a set of 360mm ksports on it, call it an early chrimbo present if you've used up all your birthday gifts! ;)

RobEvo5 10-09-2013 06:15 PM

I'll play Devils advocate on above, the wagon will be equally/more special if it was more standard and immaculate. The P1 is heavily modded already, just needs a few things to finish it off.

For me its a win, win moving a few bits over.

Both very nice cars and P1 must be lively with that power- Enjoy.

The p1 has hks gauges so should be fine for the trip.

Prodrive brakes are ok and might be slightly better than the upgraded standard ones that are there now.
I don't know how much you lot think I have but I can't afford £900 brakes:sadno:

Thanks rob that's what I was thinking as well. There is a lot of emotion tied up in this car due to its history I guess.

Anger 10-09-2013 08:24 PM

There your cars, do what you want with them..... your not breaking the wagon so can't see what the fuss is about

Lucky 10-09-2013 09:09 PM

How do you find the P1 to drive Tim. Does it feel much quicker than the wagon, or as quick as the blob?
