Intercooler and grill painted
I'd been meaning to repaint my intercooler for sometime now and upon inspecting it the other day it appeared i had collided with a low flying aircraft or a Wasp on steroids!!
I'm not the most mechanically or DIY gifted of people so always do some research before i go in blind and mess it up! Before during and after....... http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/...6/19048fb4.jpg http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/...6/74be0699.jpg http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/...6/e4adc7eb.jpg http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/...6/c4c5db84.jpg http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/...6/a2a40876.jpg Used wet and dry sand paper, some wire wool and Hammerite Metal Paint to prep and paint and used tweezers, very small screwdrivers and a couple of toothpicks to pull out the fins (which took frickin ages!) on the intercooler..... i reckon i've saved 5kg in weight judging by the amount of flies and small stones I extracted!! |
Nice one, looks 100 times better
