Gave the old motor a bit of a clean, didn't come up to bad but still quite a few marks on the paint

The use of some detailing products mixed with plenty of microfibre action often statically charges the body work, hence the dust gathering.

Chemical Guys Speed Wipe is supposedly anti static although I haven't tested it myself.

On another note use a soft plush towel as a final wipe over then you wont get the dust issue sticking as no static .

Rdlangy1 16-05-2017 05:07 PM

Very smart indeed mate :ok:

Granby 16-05-2017 06:10 PM

Thanks :-), i've been watching them on ebay for months and wasn't 100% sure about them until i did a photoshop of them on the ute which made up my mind, made a offer and they were mine, also got 5 wheels with just 1 have a slight mark on it so that can be the spare, found out also they were on a friends Monaro in Kent a while back (small world with HSV's lol) but they didn't look right on a silver car, black on black seems to work a lot better and they give me even more practice at keeping black clean

Granby 10-06-2017 12:08 PM

Not the next mod i wanted but there you go s**t happens :), lucky i had 5 wheels so just swapped it over for now, anyone now a decent mobile wheel repair company as it's not worth getting the whole wheel redone

This working lark is a pita :-D

Now I am only working alternate Sunday's I'm trying to make up for lost time. I did think the lure of a V8 or 2 would be too strong for you

Hope your day goes ok :ok:

Granby 14-06-2017 01:00 PM

New DBA disc's & DS2500 pads all round, AP disc's tend to rust very quickly when not used much and when the ute was sitting on my drive for a couple of months when i did the sound system they rusted badly, drove for a while with them like that but while they worked fine still i wouldn't of want to rely on them in a emergency

Oh and it looks like the wheels need cleaning again lol
