beaster 09-03-2018 10:18 AM

Very nice. Did you have to clean from inside as well or just outside? I was thinking to do the same work my Fozzy.

Wouldn't advise cleaning the inside, they have a protective coating on the inside that's easily damaged.

scotty 09-03-2018 12:25 PM

Beat me to it Dave .

its the heat off the lamps causes the dirt to "burn" into the plastic lens causing the dull / dirty look.........

best way is to have them machine polished as it restores to a nearer new condition than any other treatment we have come across and lasts well

scotty 14-03-2018 11:12 AM

Started to add some paperwork so done a check on it from the land of Jap and also of course added the importers folder .

Today the Foz had new rubber with right sizes fitted so much better and also replaced some old grill clips for new ones now its wabble free i am really struggling to find things to do to it this is a first from me lol .

Banstead Stig 17-03-2018 09:14 AM

Few things to think about if not already done:-

- Rear strut brace (Whiteline QR bolts allows the load space to still be used when needed)
- Thicker rear ARB (20 or 22mm seem popular choices)
- Rear subframe locking bolts

Makes a huge difference compared to standard in my experience and none of it costs the earth.

Its already fitted with a cusco rear strut brace :-D will look into the others but i would need a damn good excuse as its mint underneath and nothing needs replaced yet :?

Ride hasnt change at all tbh only thing is when its mega windy you can hear it at the front especially in the arches lol.

scotty 25-04-2018 06:32 PM

Was up at my guru's garage so put the Foz on the ramps it needs a little clean but its fitted with cucso front and rear braces as you can see but main reason was to measure the exhaust and low and behold it measures the exact same as a classic and is also 3 sections like a classic so thats good news and can look for a replacement centre section .

scooby doo 06-06-2018 09:27 AM

I think will look smart , seen a few blue r34 gtr wearing ce28n's and there blue isn't far of yours so I imagine will suit, nice dark shade of bronze .
Funny as been looking at the rota fighters in bronze for myself

scotty 11-06-2018 10:50 AM

Already mapped on uk fuel but just wanted to know what she is running and see if any issues which going by the graphs

283bhp and 325torq

Also see she is running rich so looks like a new maf is on the cards .

Also the boost tales off so thats interesting aswell so will get a smoke test done to see if any leaks .

Nice result mate and glad it’s given you information to work on..

scooby doo 11-06-2018 01:37 PM

it could be mapped to to tail the boost off,
looks like the ecu could be pulling the timing back as couple of dips in the curve,

scotty 11-06-2018 04:13 PM

Its possible that dyno and roads figures are different has here is the road figures of

310bhp and 362torque

Not always about what you start with, it’s where you are going. What’s your future plans, exhaust system related I guess?

I do like these and tried to convince Liz that she should buy one that popped up on PH the other day. Her response was " but it's a manual " :angst:

Agreed looks spot on except I would have to do something with the ends as that don't look right IMO being to much past the bumper line if you know what I mean?
