Yes and I will not be staying with the YHA.

I've been saying for years Id like to do a trip along the lines of this trip.

It would be good if someone here could join me... :ok:

Scooby_Greg 11-01-2015 08:50 PM

Always said I'd do one of these one day. Maybe when the kids are slightly older!

Scott.T 11-01-2015 08:59 PM

I think I would struggle to justify £1480 to the missus.
It's hard enough justifying the £200 ;) the Ring Trip costs.......

Maybe when I'm old and grey.........I'm half way there........

BIG"E" 12-01-2015 10:24 PM

No one ??

Granby this would be so up your street..

NL03Scooby 13-01-2015 06:39 AM

Looks pretty awesome! Any money I have this year however is going into the Nurburgring trip, any money after the trip is going towards the credit card...!

Scooby_Greg 13-01-2015 07:15 AM

It must be easy to set up one for less. Decide the definitive locations/ roads you want to visit, fund some cheaper hotels in the vicinity... Hmm, may start doing some research to get an idea of costs.
I will not be able to do anything for 2015 due to other commitments, but could consider for the future possibly as an alternative to the Ring trip (but including as part of the trip :) )

agreed. Also the stelvio pass would need to be in the trip which I don't think is on this one. The rest looks great though

Defo tunnels.

Look at the rico rally vids on youtube..

Not sure about Stelvio as yet, (the owner of the site is getting back to me, could be a personal detour)

but I have herd it gets so busy especially with cyclists that it gets spoilt and that there are other passes equally as as good but not so well known.

Scooby_Greg 25-01-2015 12:24 PM

A Subaru is confirmed for this - Is this you Ian? :)

No it is not me, as the trip I am going on is on September 13th to the 19th.

It does look like another good trip though.

Anyone fancy joining me? http://ricorally.co.uk/september2015/

It would good to have another scoob or 3 joining me or even a GT3 Rs or how about a nice blue VW R32 or a very nice grey Vauxhall VXR8....:ok:

Scott.T 25-01-2015 01:20 PM

Sorry my GT3 RS will be staying at home..............on the shelf along with my Aston Martin DBR9S.
O.K their only 1/18 models.....:)

Scooby_Greg 26-01-2015 07:35 AM

Looks fantastic Ian! If it wasn't for new windows, new kitchen and building work I would love to go on something like this. Can't wait to see the photos.

Buying the house after getting the flat sorted is going to pretty well clean jo and my wallets out this year, so probably out of the question unfortunately.

Cheers for all the good wishes.
The reason for me posting this up was because Tim and Dave H said they might pop up to see the rest of the group off on our travels. There are quite a few nice motors going which includes several high end vehicles.

Me too. It does look epic and pictures so far look like the weather has stayed clear.
There are some on Rico rally Facebook and 'E' seems to of photo bombed the funny blue one into most shots.

Steve_PPP 17-09-2015 08:21 AM

Beautiful scenery in their facebook photos. At least the photos of E are nice shots with the scoob, rather than his more usual photobombing approach! ;)
