looks really tidy, and by the looks of it some serious stopping power up front ;o

It is proper mint! I've never had a car with brakes that sharp! Good old Brembos!

Ah that 'r' looks lovely. I had the cupra mapped to 240bhp and about 235lbft running 1.3 bar boost i think it was, it was very quick, but wasn't suitable to me for cornering hard as it pushed on through the corners. Your type r would have been better for that but just depends what you want from it as there a lovely daily driver, such an effortless drive and you can do miles and miles and not even notice they are so comfortable! Good buy.

Great cars, and even better engines. Its about the only car I've never personally owned, and probably will one day. They great great reviews and have a following all of there own.

Nice...

gtirobbie 03-02-2013 09:39 AM

Yeah the Type R was a fantastic car but missed the effortless of a turbo, really had to work to make the civic feel fast, a great car nevertheless. Also having a baby now really needed a 5 door so this ticked all the boxes, plus I've wanted one for years!

Welcome to the SEAT club ;)

I do like the Cupra R, a guy at work had one from new a few years back. Front splitter was a bit of a problem in the multi-storey IIRC.

Are they 225BHP as standard ?

early ones are 210bhp, 2004 as this one is probably the 225

gtirobbie 03-02-2013 06:53 PM

Yeah it's the 225bhp version as standard, think it'll be taking a trip to Revo at some point though!
I've caught the splitter a few times already!
