My project wagon Sport, For now

Hi all this is my Project Wagon Sport,
As you can see from the photos some mods have been done from old owner,
Turbo Bumpers, Bonnet, Seats, Front Brakes etc,
My Plan is tidy it up Bonnet needs finishing and painting,
Paint work is in major need of a good polish,
Wheels Need painting, But i have no idea what colour to paint them or keep them black, ANY COMMENTS ON THIS WILL BE MOST WELCOME LOL,

Things i need to do as and when i get the cash, Due to crap paying job, So also looking for a new job too lol,
Need turbo front pads and discs,
Would like to do the rear brake conversion,
need a new cat, or redo the hole system,
New front seats
change bushes and paint chassis,

At some point no time soon i will be Building a turbo engine working from the bottom up, but want to look in to this once i found out what the best lump to go for is, or do i just go for EJ20 lump??

Heres some pics..

Nice base to start from. I'd keep the wheels black, colour code the skirts red, light tint on the rear windows.

Bit of rust to deal with there

saving up and buying a wrx would be cheaper and heaps easier in the long run, coming from a fellow non-turbo owner

Hi thanks for comments,

Liking the idea of colour coding the skirts would look a
Lot better thanks for that mate

Thank fully the rust is a bolt on part so nothing to worrie
About considering to rest of the car is solid I can't complain lol
I do get your point about saving up and getting a wrx and that it would be cheaper, but I got this car very very cheap lol plus want to have a base to work from which I have
And want to do some thing different
As I use this car daily it gives me a chance to do the basics like the looks of the car
And at the same time I can take my time building the turbo lump. Then do the conversion once it's all done so
I happy saves me taken it off road and rushing to get it finished lol

look in to insurance before you put a turbo lump in it. Modified cars are usually more expensive than standard to insure and I wonder if a standard WRX would be cheaper to insure than a sport that has had a turbo engine and drive train fitted

Already done Adrian flux are good for things like that they are very helpful

If you can try to get hold of a closed deck block stick to a 2.0 (possibly consider stroking it to 2.1) or if staying 2.0 make sure you get a semi closed deck block from a newer car. All the heads and blocks are interchangeable however, some may require a bit of machining.

What ECU are you planning on running and how will you sort the wiring?

littleg 12-08-2013 07:20 PM

Hi thanks for engine info very help full,
As for Ecu don't have a clue at mo lol
I was hoping to change the hole wiring by getting one out of a wrx as and when I am ready,
But if I get the Newer lump then would have to cross the wiring bridge when it comes to it
