Clay, detail and wax

So ...after waiting a while for the clay bar and my buffing pads to arrive ,today was the day.
My first attempt with a clay bar and a special pot of Ltd edition wax.
Started about 8.45 with a good wash and rinse . Oh and a shammy down.
I then put the car in the factory and started the clay barring,it was alot easyer to use than I first thought. I could feel the difference it was making to the paint straight away.
Finally ,I ended up finishing the whole car by about 2pm.
Here's my results.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...10a0d87606.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c774a2e04e.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d8248a1a8f.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3767721500.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...5a7b5fbcb7.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a191a9d205.jpg

Nice :ok:

I recon I could get about 3 or 4 full waxes with the pot. might get a few more on a salone, although I do think it's abit pricey for the amount you get😒.I've only used a small lump of the clay bar,so that should last a while.😎

Looks good.

You need to bin the chamois leather though. Drying towels all the way!

Mr2bill 25-06-2016 05:37 PM

Thanks.😉
I've got a few micro fiber towels,I don't think they collect as much water as the chamois and take longer to use,but that's my opinion.

Looks like a really good result, clay bar gives good results and is worth spending your time with.

You need the right towel. :ok:

They're less scratchy. I was sceptical, but am a convert. :)

Couldn't agree more, you can dry the whole car with one towel easily if its the right towel ;) So much nicer to use than a chamois
