Need a mechanic urgently
 

I have a mate at work who has got an 02 freelander 1.8s and the head gasket has gone, any idea on someone who can replace this, Jaffa I know you are busy and I did not know if its your sort of thing, so put a general question to all.

Please help as he is stuck without transport :sadnod:

Freelander & Head Gasket LOL....good to see that old Austin Rover unit is still letting people down with it's rubber head gasket.

typical k-series engine. you ever seen the head bolts on one?? there about 2.5ft long and they go throu the engine and hold the main bearings togher as well as the cylinder head down :lol:

Thanks for all the help guys but my mate has decided to get rid of the freelander now as probably the best thing to do, so I would like to say a big thank you to all concerned.

had a mate with the same prob last year i have a mate in capel sortd them for about £480 as long as the head isnt warped,. he is landrover specilist. :kicknuts:
