Most of the items in the "For The Car" section are actually law in Europe, so I would advise that you make sure that you do / have these things arranged. I have just renewed my breakdown/ recovery cover with ADAC
Contact number "Telephone enquiries and to join and pay my debit/credit card phone offices Tel No. 00 49 89767 66632 and speak to one of the four staff who speak fluent English. When they answer just say: Sprechen Sie Englisch? (pronounced Shpre[ch]en Zee English?,), |
HI Ian,
This is just for when on the ring isn't it? Ive just taken out AA European Breakdown for the 4 days we are out there - but am I right in assuming I need this for actual recovery off the track if needed? Could you PM me rough costings? Kind Regards Ryan :ok: |
Yes id also like to know about this
|
Just to let you know AA European Breakdown Cover uses ADAC while we are out there .

Some people go with ADAC as their primary breakdown cover as ADAC are the only recovery service allowed onto the Nordschleife. If you don't have it and you break down/crash, then ADAC will still attend and recover you to the car park, but they'll charge you for the pleasure (something like 150 euros rings a bell? but i might be wrong). You then use your normal AA European cover to sort you out from the public car park. Those with ADAC as their primary breakdown simply don't have to pay the additional circuit recovery fee. |
Oh right - so not worth having the additional then?
Cheers gents |

All fluids, filters and spark plugs changed on Sunday, just euro's and new tyres next month and I'm good to go.....

What tyres are you getting..? |
Goodyear eagle asym3:doubleup: running the asym2 at the mo and fantastic tyres:worthy:
|
One thing I'd add to the list is glass cleaner, especially as you're going later this year, always nice to be able to see where you're going rather than having a bugs innards smeared all over your windscreen.
|
What about CV boots and super glue ;)
|
And the correct tools for removing broken splitters.
|
And a sick bag for the midnight dash
|
Trip to halfords tomorrow need stock up on some bulbs and new wiper blades .
|
Have you not got a Euro Car Parts nearby? Click and collect with whatever voucher code you can find online is usually a lot cheaper than Halfrauds, even if you have a Halfrauds trade card.

Use the click and collect, a lot cheaper than just walking in off the street.
