Lookin good.
I was considering a perrin ARB as my whiteline is a rot as a pear.

Was out checking the Squadron stores last night and wondered where those items had gone. Then I saw your Commissioning Note on the Squadron Leader's desk, authorising the upgrades. And very nice they look too!

Look really nice.
How do they compare in price and quality to whiteline.

Granby 04-10-2008 04:37 PM

Re: Latest Round Of Mods For The Stealthy Wagon

Quality seems very good and price i think are slightly more expensive but i did get them in a group buy :D

Re: Latest Round Of Mods For The Stealthy Wagon

Well I've been driving around for a week or so with this setup now and I'm more than impressed, car feels so planted now and doesn't seem to lean at all in the bends

There is more noise but it's not much, with the engine & gearbox mounts you do some vibration when it's idling and at start up but there seems no play in the gearbox when changing gear and the gears changes are much more positive

Had a little play around Snetterton yesterday on the SIDC parade laps for time attack and it was fun booting it out of corners in 1st gear with all 4 wheels spinning, hitting the rev limiter because i couldn't change gear quick enough  but with the car just feeling stuck to the track

So all in all I'd highly recommend these mods to all wagon squadron members & non members as well :D

Don't know at the moment as i'm still bedding them in, would imagine they'd stop me quite well lol, hope to have the rears done as well sometime soon (same size disc but only a 6 pot caliper 8-) )

Mmmm, methinks someone has run out of other mods; eight pots on the front and six pots on the rear...next off you will be getting new rims :o

That's a lot of pots! I would be very worried about anyone braking behind me, especially on track! You know how they try to keep up, and use you as a marker, and leave the braking as late as you might do!

Well i thought i'd give you a update on all the bits that have been fitted lately, did a track day at Brands yesterday and i must say the car felt great and for the first time i had confidence to really push the car into corners, the brakes worked brilliant but i'm gonna change the pads as the standard pads supplied were on the limit on track and although they didn't fade they were smoking a few times..Oops, something else i've fitted is a 4 point harness and would recommend this to anyone wanting to do track days as they really do hold you secure and give you confidence, thats it for now but i'll keep you updated on anything else
