How do I drop my front sub frame?

This is cos I need to get at the arb and replace the bushes. Is there anything I need to be careful with? Easy job?

You don't have to touch the front sub frame to remove the front arb

Scruff 04-06-2014 08:52 PM

No? I thought you had to as the bushes are right above it.

Pick it up off the ground, then let go.... ;) :D:D

Very good :) so I should just be able to get to the bushes easily enough then right?

Undo drop links and bush brackets and it drop down

Awesome! Here's hoping for some dry weather tomorrow!

There is 2 clamp bolts very tight above the u shaped subframe. They were a right pig when I changed my arb.

I squirted them a few days ago with a bit of penetrating fluid along with the droplink bolts so fingers crossed they won't be as welded in as before. Gonna get some new nuts n bolts in the morning just in case anything needs cutting off.

Make sure to properly lube/grease the new bushes/arb. with the supplied grease.
