Happy Bunny!

At last.....

....... I have made it into the 400's :norty:

Many thanks to Simon (JGM) and Charlie today. After fitting a new RCM Induction Kit this week, Simon installed the new Simtek map today and then mapped it on the rollers.

Got 413.5bhp & 405ft lb as the highest run, but Simon wound it back a bit to 410bhp & 400ft lb torque. Happy with those numbers, considering it's still top mount.

Cheers Simon

Nige 19-02-2010 04:54 PM

Well done mate. At last you got the 400/400 you were after. :drive:

worzel 19-02-2010 04:57 PM

Cheers mate. Got there in the end. Simon reckons with FMIC it would make 450 (CJ Figures). But I have got just what I wanted and am happy to stick.

It feels spot on too and sounds the nuts. :yeah:

Next thing, brakes!

Anger 19-02-2010 05:01 PM

Nice one mate... what boost was that at

worzel 19-02-2010 05:01 PM

Boost was just under 1.5

Anger 19-02-2010 05:03 PM

Sweet was just comparing yours to mine on the T :)

Chunk 19-02-2010 05:11 PM

Nice one mate

Bet you are glad you got to the 400's at last

worzel 19-02-2010 05:11 PM

Those are the numbers I have been after without going FMIC. I always said 400/400 on the top mount and then stop.

But, i'll see another shiny thing one day and like the Magpie that I am I won't be able to resist.

What boost were you running James?

Was that with FMIC?

The guy at the local polish car valetters has somehow fooked steves imobiliser by pressing it and turning the key a dozen times whilst trying to move the car.
Dave from Gatwick is trying to sort it out.
Fingers crossed the get a result, poor bugger was out for a blast took it for a clean and is now stuck in the bloody cold with a non starting scoob.

I was not very happy earlier for sure. 4 hours fookin about for a 15amp fuse

Thanks to Dave Hollamby, Martyn & CJ for their help today again, CJ came up trumps (yet again) just when Dave and I were planning recovery.

So, Sunday.............. Anti Lag testing me thinks :nod:

Jolly Green Monster 20-02-2010 11:07 PM

oh bugger..

worzel 20-02-2010 11:20 PM

Exactly the same thing that CJ had with that stall problem last weekend.

We were proper flummoxed :brickwall:

Got there eventually

Crowman 21-02-2010 09:42 AM

I take it they didnt charge you for the valet mate.
Well done to Dave and CJ:10:

Hongkongfooi 21-02-2010 10:17 AM

Nige 21-02-2010 10:21 AM

So, Sunday.............. Anti Lag testing me thinks :nod: Take a vid of the car doing the anti lag thing mate so we can all see & hear. :10:

SpecB 21-02-2010 10:23 AM

Why has it blown, has there been extra load put onto the associated circuit?
I would be carefull raising the rating to 20A

Jolly Green Monster 21-02-2010 09:24 PM

I have been discussing it with SimTek, not currently sure if it is a simtek related problem or just a coincidence that CJ and Steve with the same issue and both now on SimTek and both after a stall.. it is possible at stall it fires all four coils which maybe enough to blow the 15amp fuse.

For the time being I'll fit a 20amp fuel with each SimTek on a newage lol.

but my car has never done it and is on a simtek and I have just been out and deliberately stalled it a couple of times with no issue.. strange.. and I cannot believe the issue wouldn't have happened before now having installed so many.

Simon
Whats the circuit that the fuse is protecting?

Jolly Green Monster 21-02-2010 09:58 PM

ignition fuse iirc

Crowman 21-02-2010 10:28 PM

So long as a 20Amp doesnt blow then cant see it being a problem if its on the ignition circuit.
Electronics is my thing and i have seen some nastys when a fuse value is increased.
