RollHard (photo heavy)

So last month I went to this in a friends car, took a load of photos but only just got round to sorting them.

It was up in Essex (you could tell by the number of cars on air-ride! ;)) and has a huge following in the stanced scene. They had over 1500 cars there, really packed event.

The venue was Cressing Temple Barns, never heard of it before but perfect place for a car show like this, although they're already at the limit of it (and well over the limit that the local roads could cope with trying to get in).

Quality of cars was very high - even the stanced stuff, despite that not being my thing at all. But I can appreciate the time, money and effort that went into a lot of the builds. The organisers require photos of every car to even register, and effectively weed out all of the junk beforehand which keeps the quality high. And as there was a load of stuff there that you guys might like, onto some pics.... :)

And finally... my taxi for the day. A mate's 306 GTI6, full cage with usual track modifications. And solid engine mounts fitted a few days before driving up to Essex, they sure make a difference

Wow some very nice stuff there and a wide mix of cars

Steve_PPP 27-09-2017 01:10 PM

Yeah, there was a complete mix of everything there. I was quite torn about whether I liked some of them or not - fully restored beautiful E30 beemers etc, mint condition, yet looking a bit silly on bags and parked on the ground with arches touching the rims.

Different strokes for different folks as they say. But still a great show :)

MIDLIFE 27-09-2017 02:31 PM

Great pics:10: some very nice cars as well.

Rdlangy1 27-09-2017 03:31 PM

Some great pics there Steve - and nice variety of cars :ok:

NL03Scooby 27-09-2017 07:49 PM

Cool pics Steve, some nice looking machines there, the Honda powered Mini gets my vote though, looks insane!

Thanks for the summer weather reminder by the way.

Steve_PPP 27-09-2017 10:31 PM

Haha, yes the mini looked bonkers.

And it was hot too, not Bromley Pageant hot, but still plenty of suncream needed! :)

boggissimo 28-09-2017 10:15 AM

If you like that sort of thing, seems like a good show. But of all the pics you posted, I would only want one or two of the cars, some of the things they've done are a travesty!

tbtstt 29-09-2017 12:04 AM

Great pictures Steve! :10: Reminds me of the Players Classic show I went to at Goodwood a few years ago: a huge mix of cars with a few that I really liked and a lot that had been ruined by air ride and silly camber!

j2000 29-09-2017 04:13 AM

Great pics....and looks like a good event. Nice to have so many different styles of cars to.

ScoobyStu 29-09-2017 09:49 AM

Looks like a decent event. Great pics and as said, good to see lots of variety as well.

Dan881 01-10-2017 10:31 PM

Looked a good event/day great mix of cars! Also brilliant pictures Steve

Thanks mate. Photos are all just straight off a Samsung Galaxy S7 with no editing other than a batch resize to make them small enough for the internets :)

Simon-Sti 02-10-2017 10:42 PM

Cracking motors and pics cheers for sharing :)

SpecB 03-10-2017 06:46 AM

Loving the Karman Ghia and the G60

Ginola 12-10-2017 03:19 PM

This looked like a cracking event Steve.
