Chunk 09-11-2009 08:53 AM

Thinking of selling or breaking her now

Any idea what she is worth as a whole & in bits?

tandino 09-11-2009 10:12 PM

let me know if you do decide to break, id be after a few panels if theyre 230 feather white which they should be.
Reality is when you start throwing money on old cars for mods the only way to get some of your money back is to break, sad but true.

I want both drivers side doors, both front wings if they are mint?, boot if it has no spoiler holes??.

Let me know

Cheers Pete.

Chunk 11-11-2009 09:08 AM

Becauce a lovely brother of mine is selling this for a bargain price

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...Photo-0170.jpg

Engine is a lot stronger than mine.

It's low mileage.

I'm driving this at the moment and its nicer to drive than mine.

666subaru 11-11-2009 03:15 PM

Seriously interestef in the bonnet/ headlights and front grill if you break her, please Lee

C. J. 11-11-2009 05:31 PM

Looking good Chunky.... How comes your Bruvs Mrs never got it on the road

Ratboy 11-11-2009 09:15 PM

Break it Chunk,i made £2700 not including shell, gearbox, and many performance mods, and you know what a wreck that car was....

Chunk 12-11-2009 08:52 AM

Gary has very limited parking at his house. They now have 4 cars between them, so something had to give

I'm hoping Gary will break the white one, so i can keep mine and put some of the good bits from his onto mine

It's all up and running, but i have ended up with a Corsa to get to work in, and it seems pointless keeping the white one when it won't get used at all, aswell as having to find somewhere to keep it.

Don't really want to break it, as we've only just recently put the new engine in, so seems a waste.

Chunk 23-11-2009 09:02 AM

Looks like i'm keeping mine

I just sold the other one

Nice to meet you all mate :)

Chunk 23-11-2009 03:57 PM

Hi mate

Was good to meet you both

I know your brother will love it

Chunk 05-12-2009 09:13 PM

Putting her up for sale again.

If any of you know anyone in the market for a cheap Impreza, plase sent them this way.

It's running the best it has since i bought it, just needs the rocker cover gasket doing. (Have a genuine subaru gasket set here ready)

Looking for around £2700 for her.

She has to go this time.

May even be selling the Mercedes too :sadno:

MrX??? 05-12-2009 09:18 PM

Details on the Merc?

Neighbour may be interested.

Hope your not 'having' to sell because of anything negative.

Chunk 05-12-2009 09:43 PM

Will only sell the merc if the scoob goes

depends if you count a Mercedes C36 or C43 AMG as negative :five:

Chunk 12-12-2009 10:15 AM

Cheeky bugger

Chunk 16-12-2009 12:00 AM

Had enough of the scoob now

Clutch is starting to slip
Cam cover gasket needs doing (Have the gasket set ready)
Handbrake light is on
Boost leak somewhere

Don't have the money or enthusiasm to fix it now

If it goes before new year, i will take £2000 for it

Just want it gone so I can move on to my next project which is NOT going to be an AMG :norty:

Scottie :) 16-12-2009 05:57 PM

So whats it gonna be then?!!!!!

Chunk 17-12-2009 08:55 AM

Leaving the performance car scene for a bit

BIG"E" 17-12-2009 10:21 AM

Will get some more pics up in next few days if you want

earthing kit is in boot at the moment & intercooler spray isn't plumbed in

Q-Dog 20-12-2009 01:03 AM

How bad is the clutch slip?
MOT / Tax etc?
Any idea what sort of power its running?

An idea of the bits done? Cheers mate :)

Chunk 20-12-2009 01:20 AM

Spec is at top of this thread

running about 280 bhp on standard ecu, got the one from crowman which will come with the car, that will be running about 310 bhp

Tax is till end of Jan 2010 & MOT is Aug 2010

slips a little in high revs, but still pulling really well

i'm so tempted to keep it, but after 3 years I fancy a change.

It's had regular oil changes (at least 2 a year with Mobil1)
Always warmed & cooled

Highly commended award at Jap bash 2008

Chunk 20-12-2009 01:29 AM

And i'm sure a deal can be arranged on the insurance on it too, thanks to my wonderful brother.... Moley

Q-Dog 20-12-2009 01:29 AM

Cheers mate Ill have a little read, any idea how much a clutch will be?

Chunk 20-12-2009 01:32 AM

moley also knows the owner of Aztec Performance, they are doing the exedy ones for £200 ish, gary can get discount there

I'm sure someone on the forums could fit it rather cheap

Q-Dog 20-12-2009 01:39 AM

Im liking the list, has anything changed since you put that up or if I have it will I get it all?
I have noticed a few threads and you do seem to change your mind quickly :) I know the feeling, ive only had the wagon a few months but its not really for me.
Ive had some money come my way so should be able to do something pretty quick, just waiting on it clearing in my account :( banks take too long.

I missed out on the other one you guys had, and was a bit gutted but didnt have the money at the time, although I prefer the look and spec of yours :)

If you have got a few more pics that would be good

Cheers

Chunk 20-12-2009 01:45 AM

Will post more pics up tomorrow.

Not taken anything off it, may have even added stuff since then. It's late & i can't think lol

Chunk 20-12-2009 01:47 AM

To be honest, mine is a lot better than the other one we were selling, for not much more money

If mine didnt have the faults i would be asking around the £3000 mark

know what you mean about banks, hate them

I dont mind waiting

Q-Dog 20-12-2009 01:57 AM

Cool sounds good mate, you are not too far from me either, supposed to be having a guy from Brighton come and look at mine tomorrow pm.

With the money I paid in a cheque on Thursday and was told it wont clear until after Xmas :(
They r quick to take your money but dont like giving it back....

Anything else it needs?
Im not too fussed as im sure its gonna be a good one, just if there is I know what I need to get
Ive just noticed it is late :(
Cheers mate

Q-Dog 20-12-2009 01:58 AM

and I really need to use commas

Chunk 20-12-2009 02:00 AM

Could do with a tax disc holder, It's an MLR one in there

Apart from that, needs nothing

Chunk 12-01-2010 12:06 AM

I think this thread needs to be restarted by Q-dog

:drumroll:

Q-Dog 12-01-2010 12:30 AM

Yeah you might be right mate, I have started a thread on Kent Scoobies, ive already put the cf spoiler on and my oil temp, oil pressure and volt swoosh gauges turned up today :)

I think I may have found some 440's and I keep pestering jgm with weird questions prior to going down the simtek route :)
