Nice one Scotty.

Ksport get a lot of stick for not being of the same 'quality' as AP or Alcon for example, but then they're priced accordingly. I've been running the 356mm 8 pot kit for over 4 years now with no problems and i've lost count of the trackdays they've done. Just add some decent pads to the deal, as the ksport pads are poo (discs fine though).

There not cheap as a kit so hopefully have a set of these on for next years trip as i think brembo are not cutting the mustard with me anymore .

Really? I was going to fit ap's on my bug, but brembos with pf z pads were never a problem, and that was on a heavier car.
I now have same setup with pf discs as well on the classic and dont expect any issues at all.

Agreed with Si - I have the PF Z Pads and Brembos and they work ok for me..............for now :ok:

Brembo discs and pads with dot 5 my 4 pots on the terzo were better lol . I could buy PF discs and pads which would cost the same as the ksport brake kit lol .

As I pm'd you dude the brembos are more than upto the task on the classic you just need a descent disc and pad combo, they do require some pedal work of course,
Either PFC disc + pad or AP strapdrive disc and pad ds2500, pagid rs29 or PFC 11 or z pad are more than upto the task and still allow you scope to fit 17" rims for track/winter etc.. Your type R is 200kg lighter than most newage stuff and really doesn't need the extra disc size.

To note above Mr PPP keeps his car garaged between occasional outings and a no dust seal setup where you are with the car outside is far from ideal.

You would probably find just changing pads to something good will fix all your problems for now.

in general ABS has no bearing on wether the brakes are good or not
