What tyres??

Anyone have any recomendations for a classic impreza sti? Mainly use it for fast road/ track use. (toy).
I have looked into either: Toyo Proxes, Falken XL's or Yokohama Parada spec 2's?
Thanks :sos:

Out of those 3, toyo's....

Parada IMHO are a bit of a pub talk tyre and are v.poor in the wet.

Re: What tyres??

RE070 if they fit your wheels. They can cope with standing water and last longer than Toyo R888/Yoko A048/ Dunlop DZ 02/ Dunlop DZ 03 with only a slight trade off with dry grip and can be had for £90-something a corner and don't drone in the cabin unlike the trackday rubber.

I ran Michelin Pilot Sports in the winter and they were great but now the weather it drier the RE070's are back on.

If you're feel like spending even more, maybe some Michelin Pilot Sport Cups but like the R888's et al don't like the wet.

AWD has the advantage of putting the power down it's just the cornering and stopping in the wet you need to worry about

experienced the putting the power down in the wet coming out of Adenau once had a 911 behind me coming into Adenau Bridge and decided after the uphill right hander I'd pull over to let him by only when I checked my mirrors he was no where in sight

The exit of Ex-Muhle (and the Lauda-Link after it) is a notorious piece of track for 911's especially Turbo's.
