cv joints!
 

im getting an intermittant thudding coming from the left front wheel that comes thru the steering wheel and is worse when i brake. i know cv boot is split and is booked in but am i right in saying the whole joint might need replacing or possibly the drive shaft on that side!!! any help wud be grateful!

if the thudding is in time with wheel speed, then probably your joint needs doing.
if not, could be knackered bushes or something on suspension or arb
