Wheel weight

Having a "geek day". Thought I would weigh my 18" superleggera with tyre (215/35), and compare it with an OEM 16" five spoke alloy (circa MY98 spec) with tyre (205/50). Tyres have roughly same amount of tread.

Superleggera/tyre 16.3kg
OEM/tyre 17.2kg.

Nice to know how light my alloys are!

Re: Wheel weight

Good to know Rich. As mine are a lightweight wheel I would expect your TDs to be heavier - no disrespect.

Perhaps we should provide a "wheel-weigh service" at each meet from now on?
