SES Meet - 30th June 2012 - The Man of Kent, East Peckham
 

As you probably remember, June's SES meet is going to be at the Man of Kent pub, in East Peckham.

This is going to be an evening meet starting at 6pm!
Turn up, have a chat and we'll aim to get some food at half 6 or 7ish, then hang around for a drink for as long as you like. Hopefully it'll be a nice summers evening to sit outside :nod:

We had over 10 cars on the list before the forum went belly-up, no interest now? I'll leave the list up for another day or two to see if it gets going but if not, we'll postpone until July.

Just got back from sunnier climes :-/ & thought I had better mention that the Hop Farm festival is on this weekend so traffic & pubs in the area may be busy.. The Man of Kent isn't far from the Hop Farm..

I've just spoken to the pub and booked tables for about 15 of us to eat - which is just a guess as no idea how many people are eating. The pub have said its not a problem but asked that we're patient if food isn't out the kitchen in 10 minutes as they're expecting it to be busy with the Hop Farm festival on (didn't realise that was only a couple of miles down the road!). If the weathers nice (forecast is warm and sunny) then we'll sit outside but i wanted to book tables just in case the rain came and we wanted to sit inside.

Great meet, thanks to everyone for coming. Nice to meet a few new faces as well.

Must admit I was slightly concerned when i turned up to find enough spaces for about 3 cars, but with a bit of shuffling and parking side on to the wall instead of parallel, we fitted most cars in.

Very nice little pub, very welcoming and the owner bent over backwards to help us out when a few more people than expected turned up (i booked a table for 15 and counted 24 of us!). Food was top notch too :doubleup:

One we may well visit again :nod:

Cheers guys, that was a good one! Food was decent as well, and I enjoyed the lanes on the way down. Can we go there again?

I think the sign was the only thing I didn't hit my head on!!

Good venue that, my drive home was very spirited that's for sure!!!
