New clutch
The clutch on my STI was pretty high when I bought it and after nearly a year of ownership I think it's about time I thought about replacing it. I havnt noticed it slip, but the bite is very high now.
Thought I would ask for recommendations on which one to get? Currently running 305bhp and may look to try and squeeze a little more out of her in the not too distant future, but no plans to go over the 350 mark I suspect. |
Std 6spd clutch is very capable and refined in general if you want something with a higher headroom then the 'pink box' Exedy or the more recent RTS kits are very cost effective
|
What are the recommended power limits for the standard 6spd? If there's no real benefit in upgrading then it may b sensible to go standard as I'm guessing it's probably a little more friendly for everyday road use.
No idea what clutch it has now but it feels a little aggressive already and not sure I would want anything harsher. |
depending on driving style std clutch will do 350+
none mentioned are "harsh" |
As Alyn says, Exedy Pink box will give a bit more clamp load - I also had an AP racing clutch on mine for a while which was a lovely feeling clutch but a bit much for your needs.

Pink box :ok:

Cheers for the responses guys, i'll check out the Pink and Standard then. Now I need to try and get her booked in with Dan... suspect it may be a while before he can slot me in so I should have plenty of time to make my mind up
I'm guessing prices will be on your website Alyn? |
