Thats a great price for a DSLR.
I was tempted with the Lumix FZ38 hybrid, but yours was not alot more for full DSLR.....

Well after the first trip out with the new camera yesterday, i can say i'm very impressed with it (for the money), quality of the pics are very good.
Although once they were resized (photobucket) for the Dunfold thread they seem to of lost the quality

Very nice mate, get cracking on those pics lol, i looked at a similar one before i got my cannon but the nikon didnt feel quite right for me,

With the photo bucktet quality i had to increase the size of the pic when hosting it strangley to keep most of the quality, when they were smaller they turned out abit grainey if that makes sense

Photobucket resizes the pictures anyway, so something has to give, and its gonna be the quality!!! the d3000 is great, its a very nice bit of kit that has huge potential in the right hands. I had the d300 up till recently, again, very capable and gave me some blinding pics, even in program auto mode!!!
the best advice i can give is read, the manual, photo mags are a good source of info too, you can get great techniques and tips from them too.
the reveiws are great also, gave me a lot of info before i bought, although i wouldnt personally go for anything other than Nikon now, but thats personal choice!!
