6 spd conversion info

Hi guys, been thinking about future plans for my bugeye wrx and was wondering what is needed to convert to the 6spd? i mean i know i need Gearbox and diff, but what else? is gearstick/shafts/hubs same?

is flywheel and clutch same?

sorry for the noob questions but never looked into this, hence the post

the 5 and 6spd clutch set-ups are totally different BUT as long as you use the complete matched assembly of either then you can use your old one with the disadvantage that the 5spd handles less torque than the 6spd due to the larger plate

you must have the 6spd gear linkage assembly

if you car is a UK spec and you plan to use a UK spec 6spd then you can simply retain your rear diff as it matches correctly

ok thnks, what about driveshafts and prop shaft?

the driveshafts are "matched" to whichever diff/hubs you use so just keep your std ones if retaining or use the complete R180 rear end if swapping

propshaft is the 6spd one
