phone as modem?
 

Hi all i would like to upload some photos of my scoob and previous i have a computer but no internet i have internet on my phone and would like to no how i can use it as a modem? its a samsung galaxy gti9000 cheers

Is that an android phone? If so there is a photo bucket app you can install, this will allow you to upload direct from your phone. You can tether your laptop to your phone if you set it up as a wireless hotspot but it will depend on the contract you're on as to whether you'll get charged for it or not. Some plans allow tethering and some don't.

Recently got a galaxy S3 on the 3 network - they told me all the other networks have started charging for tethering on new phone contracts, although most older contracts include it free. Guess they needed to do it to protect the sales of the USB dongles.

Photobucket android app is good though :)

Cheers for the replies! yeah its android on 3 pay n go unlimited data i have the photo bucket but everything seems very limited why i click on upload and stuff it just does nothing? il keep trying and il try the tether!! thanks!

Three PAYG will charge for tethering, I believe it's only their "One Plan" that includes tethering for free unfortunately.

Typical!! might just wait till all exrterior parts are fitted and go from there,

Just got my boot and spoiler plus spec d skirts!! the boot was mint till the fork lift driver picked it up!! corner is badly bent and paint cracked so a new one on route!! goin to put skirts in the paint shop so once sorted il post u some pics before and after! plus a few of my classic which you all have probly seen any way!! thabks again!
