race spec car road legal
 
hi all can anbody tell me if this could be used on the road aswell as track it has a mot so i would of thought you could tax it etc but dont know if anything on it would be iilegal for road use?

my understanding was that as long as it had MOT TAX insurance front and rear indicators working front and rear lights rear fog light then its fine for the road it looks good to go to me! i wouldnt have it stopped on my motorway

if it has been built for rallying, then it has to be road legal, even WRC have to atain a road legal level, and the uk registered need an MOT as far as im aware

i drove an old gemini mid engine rwd mk3 back in the 90's, only a stg 2 cross flow fitted, but it was fun...

Depends on exactly what its been built for. Most rallying requires cars to be road legal for all the liaison sections between stages. But a lot of people use the term 'rallying' to describe other motorsports. Wouldn't necessarily need to be road legal if it was built for stuff like sprints or hillclimbs i think.

Just a silly question why does it still have bonnet vents, surely not required now as engine is mid mounted, I would have thought they would have put on standard bonnet so the space could be used for something else.. mmmm shopping lol
