Anyone fitted bonnet dampers

Hi,has anyone fitted bonnet dampers and if yes what type and where from?I have a WRX with an alloy bonnet,so can you get dampers just for alloy bonnets.(I'am assuming normal ones for a steel bonnet might be a bit strong).Thanks.

Yeah I have

Tien / Tein / Teen / Tine / Tyne ? ffs I can't remember how they are spelt?

They are most dark green, but I had mine sprayed Sonic blue to match the car.
Don't power coat them as heat damages rubber.

Got mine from Paul at Zen Performance

I bought a set from Scott Lowe, and rust appeared within a few weeks. Despite many phone calls and emails promising to replace them, he never did. At least the rust hasn't spread, and they were a doddle to fit.

eBay ones are about £40

Scott Lowe is ****ing shocking at aftercare. It took me 8 months to get a replacemet fibre glass splitter for a damaged one that was sent.

Looks like a group buy then.If someone can start a list (Steve?) then we can see what discount can be had.I think the best price for Tiens that I have found is about £100.00.

Frenchie 17-06-2011 03:35 PM

Saw on SS forum that alloy/carbon bonnets only need one damper? If that's the case who wants to split a set with me?

worzel 17-06-2011 03:41 PM

I'll get a list started in Group Buys then. :ok:

worzel 17-06-2011 05:20 PM
