i may be being a bit dumb but how do you tell what car you have here goes!!! i have a p reg 1997 what i believe is a wrx sti jdm.. car is in the garage at the moment having a maf sensor fitted and then a remap to back up the pfc installed.. i cannot get engine chassis codes due to this atm. it hyas sti seats with red shoulders lightweight speedline alloys, alloy bonnet, elec mirrors, red headers a vf23 turbo , rear windscreen wiper , its 4 door, does it have anything else tht would be a tell tail sign its a wrx sti as the logbook stupidly says its a wrx sti 22b type uk!! ha !! dont think this is right somehow.. what power output would it be ??

Sti models normally have a plaque under the bonnet saying that it's an Sti and what number/month it was made and what version, mine does anyway but not sure if that's the same on all of them

That's just on the first Sti

yep only the very first STi's had those plates due to being modified by STi after the build line..........

v2 STi onwards doesn't have anything that isn't swapabl;e apart from the model code on the pass wing plate which ID's exactly when/what it was made as
