SES Track Day 2011

Now The Ring has been and gone, is anyone still up for another track day?

The local ones are Brands and Goodwood, enless anyone fancies somewhere like Snetterton?

Any thoughts?

Steve_PPP 04-07-2011 09:14 PM

I would be interested, but moneys a bit tight with the wedding next month! (plus someone is gonna rip me off next month on insurance for two cars as well ;))

Really need to sort my brakes before i do another 3hr open pit session (unless i just bung the melted pads back in and see how long they last!)

I'd certainly come along though to watch and take some piccies, and happy to help organise if necessary :ok:

Scott.T 04-07-2011 09:56 PM

Goodwood is too expensive for the 98dB 10 car day and double the price for a 102dB 5 car day (which is more lilely to be us noise wise).

We did look into tis early inthe year.
Brands is much better value.

The only way to get onto Goodwood at a more reasonable price would be to hijack 1/2 an easytrack day or similar.

Crowman 04-07-2011 11:07 PM

I'm in for brands, whatever car it might be :-)

chrisp 04-07-2011 11:08 PM

Hi Gary,
It's under/ behind the rear seat. I'm tied up today, but around tomorrow. PM me if thats ok. I'm no mechanic but the fuel pump is fortunately pretty straightforward! My spare is a Walbro.

Moley_WRX 16-07-2011 07:04 PM

Unfortunately it seems the problem is a lot more serious than fuel pump.

Hongkongfooi 16-07-2011 08:50 PM

You must after all youve spent.

I promise not to over take you again.

jay 18-07-2011 05:31 PM

I fancy another track spin in the RB as long as I can get work cover.....bored of driving other peoples cars around Brands!.......although I would prefer to get another set of wheels and tyres first as Pirelli have kindly put another brand new set of boots on FOC as I picked up my left hand pull again and proved it was the rubber..... so do not want to bugger em to quick!.....anyone got any spares?????.......James normally has 30 sets of wheels sitting around so may ask him!

S300BYJ 19-07-2011 07:23 PM

I could be interested in this dependant on cost, ins etc, could do with getting rid of a few cobwebs :paranoid:

Lucky 19-07-2011 08:04 PM

Is there a confirmed price yet guys?

evilhawk 24-07-2011 11:38 AM

Keith Michaels are sometimes able to provide cover if you're insured with them (note the free plug!!!) or www.moris.co.uk or www.reis.co.uk are able to offer 'stand alone' track cover.

AWD_Scott 25-07-2011 07:01 PM

silly question but do you have to have insurance on a track day?

Crowman 25-07-2011 11:35 PM

Choices

There are earlier ones, end of Aug, but prob to early for everyone.

27th October(Brands Indy) - Day, open pit lane - £159.00 105db and 92db drive by

1st November - Same format as above

31st Oct - Bedford autodrome - 4.1 mile GT circuit - £159 - I have been to this circuit its great as has very large run off areas, but has 101db with87.5 drive by.

Spa francorchamps - 3rd October - open pitlane - £249.00 Some very nice cars on atendee list for this one

Moley_WRX 26-07-2011 12:09 AM

It's also worth looking at Snetterton.

I know a few guys who have done the new '300' circuit, and it's supposed to be a brilliant track now.

Crowman 26-07-2011 12:39 AM

Ok mate will look, cheers
