Idle control sensor
 

My engine was idling a bit rough this afternoon then my check engine light came on, I checked the fault codes and this confirmed it was the idle control sensor so while the engine was warm and running I adjusted the sensor which made it idle better and turned the check engine light off but now there is a humming noise coming from the air intake, I've tried adjusting it further to stop this but with no joy.
Can anyone help with this?
