Wheel colour???

My wheels have started to get a bit scuffed, and after a failed attempt to touch them in (nobody can seem to match the colour properly) I am looking at getting them refurbed. Two questions:

1. Paint or powder coat?

2. Colour?. Now, I do like the colour but bearing in mind I can now have any colour I like, I am not sure which way to go. I like dark grey but it would be good to have a shade that is a fair bit different from the RB320 colour as I dont want it to become a replica. I still like gold too. Then there is white, but I think that would be a headache.

Any opinions welcome!!!

I am loving the lotus colours in f1 as I always did way back. So if you go hold maybe a subtle gold stripe or something to match;-)
Photoshop help needed:sos:

wheel colour

hi m8,just read thread about wheel colour. powder coating is much stronger then paint and comes in many colours these days, who has tryed matching your wheel colour ? i do alot of spraying on cars and wheels and think you should be able to get something close with colour chips,i spayed big emps wheels met black with silver in laquer which looks good in sun light, all depends on what money you want to spend, cheapest way is to keep the same colour or very close and relaquer them.would be happy to take alook if your over my way at any time. I like your car by the way, looks the nuts hope that helps m8 cheers wayne.

i'd say keep it gunmetal tbh. don't go black as you won't be able to see any of the detail in the wheel.

I think gold on black works with the fat wide & low look, but not sure if the RB320 wheels are just too.... delicate looking for gold? (if you get what i mean!?)

Thanks Wayne, I may take you up on that. The problem with the wheel colour is that prodrive wont tell me the colour code, and they change colour in different lights, so when I apply touch in, it looks fine in one light, then miles out in another.
