i feel i ve worked it out ,, gonna replace the dump valve with the standard one .. i think this is the reason for overfuelling\!!!

Hi, is very likely to be dump valve, they can cause poor idling and hunting.

Induction kits truly mess up the MAF readings as well and must be mapped in to be safe.

Dump valve most likely however it is probably currently saving you from damaging the engine as it needs remapping for the induction as it will effect the maf voltage and therefore ignition advance and fuelling.

hmmm good call guys .. i say induction kit ...itis an apexi cone filter .. still need a remap i guess yeah??

Jolly Green Monster 16-08-2011 10:01 PM

Yes thats what an induction kit is ;)

If the car was standard on the standard ecu and you added an induction kit that retains the original maf housing like the apexi you might get away with it but the car has had a remap custom to the setup on the car at the time. You cant change anything effecting air in or exhaust out without having the map adjusted else you risk engine damage.
