Last I heard they were still beta testing .
Launch keeps getting put back.

I think theyre bringing the 4gs out first. 5 probz next year.

I thought the 5 is due Jan 2012?

That's rubbish, must be problems if they have broken the normal release schedule, I'm hanging on waiting but there is other stuff coming out that is tempting me away

I think i saw it on the daily mail website it may be called iphone 4s and not iphone 5! have a an a5 chip (whatever that is) from the ipad 2 and have an 8meg camera..... i think its the sheer volume of apps thats keeping the iphone ahead at the mo but maybe won't be king for much longer??

personally i went the other way, Samsung Galaxy S. It's a top phone. Android apps are gaining on Iphone day by day. The other advantage? well I've got an Ipod same as everyone else.

Think other than the app store it's also the UI, it is simple and works well, the touch screen I found much more accurate than the HTC I had for a bit.
Saying that some of the new HTC android phones are looking really good and may get a look, especially if the app store is getting better on android.
One other good thing is the resale value on the iPhone, each year selling the old one has paid for the new one

The iphone re-sale value and status as the bench mark by which all smart phones are judged is all based less on it being a good or bad phone and more on the fact that it's fashionable to have one.

Thing is apple launched the first smart phone and the others will allways be playing catch up, got my upgrade the other week because my 3gs eventually died. Sent my 3gs off and it paid for the upgrade, bit supprised though, to by the 4 handset its still £450 :-(
