Was in the office until nearly 11pm last night so didn't see it, glad i didn't in the end.

Dirty palace scum. A friend of mine went and said that the palace fans were throwing rocks at the Albion fans whilst waiting for the train, and apparently it all kicked off at Brighton station too.

Anger 28-09-2011 06:09 PM

Fook off Steve.... i bet they didnt do anything to ask for it did they... all my fam and friends are mainly palace

simba 28-09-2011 06:13 PM

Sure, there's going to be the usual shouting and yelling. But from what I was told, it was the palace lot who started throwing things.

I'm sure the club is being watched by everyone who opposed the stadium in the first place (local councillors, businesses etc) and this kind of trouble just gives them a stronger case against any potential expansion of the Amex in the future.

Anger 28-09-2011 06:42 PM

I'll phone a few friends in a bit and see if they were picking on the little defenceless Brighton fans pmsl

You can not tar every one with the same brush.:nono:

From the clip on tonights TV news it did look as if Brighton fans did start by throwing bottles etc at Palace, but you cant get the whole picture from one clip.

Ever since the days of Malcolm Alison, Seagulls against the Eagles has always been troublesome.

blimey

I'm well aware that its the minority of fans (of pretty much any club) that cause trouble, but that doesn't excuse it. And my 'palace scum' comment was said in jest, i wasn't tarring every South Londoner with the same brush. It just the same as Manure fans all being a bunch of armchair-based glory hunters ;)

And its just the same as the Palace fans branding every Brighton supporter as gay, don't try to tell me that didn't happen last night! Besides, its not like you weren't expecting a reaction by starting this thread in the way you did either

Justin 28-09-2011 11:51 PM

Steve your opening post has nothing remotely coming across as jesty. At all.

I started this thread because of the result. The score, the joy! I expected banter, not a whinge TBH
