Leak down test

Having spoken to a few well known guys (Olly Clark included) I need a leak down test done on the Bug to try to find out where the oil in the exhaust port is coming from. Best bet is it's the valve seals however I am concerned it may be the first signs of a ring failure.

Anybody had one done locally or know where I could get one done (I will be ringing Brent tomorrow to see if he can do it).

It's not hard to do and a kit to do it isn't much .
Have you done a compression test have one if needed ?

Brent was looking into getting the tools for this about 6 weeks ago

Cheers guys,

Thought I'd go straight for a leak down as it should tell me what is leaking e.g piston rings or inlet/outlet valves and I could make my mind up what to do from there. As there's not much oil leakage I'm not too concerned but if it's the rings then I want it sorted ASAP before I damage the bore(s)

If it's the rings a compression test would do then !

Hoping it's the exhaust valves - cheaper in parts but still a pain in the butt as the engine's got to be pulled!
