Interesting Scooby spotted today.....
Took the family wheels upto Vince @ RDS for it's annual MOT today, and pulled into the car park near something I thought I recognised.
Being and ex-RS Ford man, just had to have a look. A quick look through the bonnet vent confirmed my thoughts.....SCOOBY Engine ;) : http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9...t.T/rs2002.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9...t.T/rs2001.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9...t.T/RS2003.jpg Turns out to be the same RS200, based on an early Impreza, that was on Snet a few years back and at the bottom of this SES thread : http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ighlight=rs200 Appears to be local, rumour has it, Northiam. |
Still love it even as a rep.
Propper retro RS . Quality Still one in crowborough, I know where it lives and see a women drive it now and then, mind you here hubby has a 6r4 and a couple of ferarris |

Funny story was when the owner dropped it off, after booking in a Subaru, he had to walk Vince out to the car park to show him where the 'Scoob' was parked, or else he would never of spotted it. |
That car also frequents Jaffas place. gets about dont it! :drive:

was made by one of the old partners of "rally-tech" and is basically an Impreza floorpan with GRP panels over the top..............
not my idea of a "replica" but each to their own |
The bloke who owns it has some nice motors , full race 911 turbo, lancia delta 16v, ford gt40 which he took me out one night bloody awsome, + various sports cars 6 at one time.:worthy:

Very nice, would be good to see more cars like that on the road :-)
|
mapped 2 of these, including this one I believe.
look nice in pics but difficult to remain nice up close.. cracks in fibreglass and not massively keen on some of the ways things have been done on them. Nice out on the road though, drive like an early impreza and really turns heads. Simon |
Very cool!
I was speaking to the owner of a space frame replica RS200 at Lydden a while back who reckons he build his (4wd, Cossie powered) for around £12K. I guess the Impreza based replica is a bit cheaper though: and a lot easier to get sort out spares for if something breaks! |
Iv worked on this an meny of his other toys, a very nice bloke :)
